Let’s be honest...most store-bought gummies are either full of sugar, artificial junk, or have the texture of a bouncy ball. And even some “healthy” homemade gummy recipes? Still not great for my toddler (and me, let’s be real).
That’s why I searched for a super soft, naturally sweetened gummy recipe that’s easy to make, totally non-toxic, and packed with gut-friendly goodness. And I found it!
These are on repeat in our fridge and make the perfect snack for toddlers, kids, and grown-ups alike.

Benefits of Gelatin
One of the best parts about these gummies? They’re not just cute and tasty, they’re actually good for you. Gelatin is packed with amino acids that support gut health, making it a go-to for anyone working on digestion, healing leaky gut, or just trying to feel better from the inside out. It also helps strengthen hair, skin, and nails (yes, please), supports joint health, and even aids sleep thanks to its glycine content. Think of it as a little wellness boost disguised as a snack, perfect for you and your littles.
Ingredients
1 cup juice of choice – Think organic cherry, blueberry, apple, or a mix
2 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin powder (reduce to 1.5 tablespoons for even softer texture)
2 tablespoons raw honey or maple syrup – Adjust to your sweetness preference
1 teaspoon lemon juice – Optional, but adds brightness and a slight tartness
Supplies
Small saucepan
Measuring cups & spoons
Silicone molds (any fun shapes work!)
Dropper or small funnel (helpful but not essential)
How to Make Them
1. Prep the Molds
Lightly grease your silicone molds with coconut oil so the gummies pop out easily later.
2. Bloom the Gelatin
Pour your juice into a small saucepan (off heat).
Sprinkle gelatin evenly across the surface.
Let it sit for about 5 minutes — this helps avoid clumps and gives you that smooth, soft texture.
3. Gently Heat
Turn the heat to low and stir gently.
Don’t boil — keep it under 160°F.
Once the gelatin is fully dissolved, remove from the heat.
4. Add the Good Stuff
Stir in honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, and any extras, such as a drop of coconut oil or a pinch of sea salt.
Whisk until it’s all smooth and combined.
5. Pour & Set
Pour the mixture into your molds (a dropper helps with small shapes).
Let them sit at room temperature for 30–60 minutes, then pop them into the fridge for 1–2 hours to fully set.
6. Pop Out & Store
Remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
For a softer bite, let them sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before eating.
Tips & Flavor Ideas
Try adding a splash of elderberry syrup for extra immune support
Use tart cherry juice for a deeper flavor and added sleep support
Mix juices for fun combos (like blueberry + apple)

Mom and Toddler Approved
These are the kind of snacks you feel good about giving your kids, and they think they’re candy. Total win. They're also a fun kitchen project to do with your toddler (if you're okay with a little sticky mess and taste-testing).
